WINOL and Sportsweek

This week's WINOL was a good one and looked technically very good, the stories were very good and we looked very professional, we are getting better and better and i thought it was a very enjoyable bulletin. however the bulletin didn't go out on time which was very disappointing and once again we did have to rely on post production. Although we did have sound problems which we couldn't fix on time, we were very calm and Ewan was very sure in delaying the start of the programme by 10 minutes. This is something that we wouldn't be able to do in real life as a programme has to go out on time.

We need to have back up microphones and equipment so that if some does fail we have a back up that we can use and the programme can then go out on time. The guest editor also said to us that it would be better to drop stories that aren't interesting or that aren't really stories rather than keep them in the bulletin. There also wasn't one guilting building which was very good.

In sport we were told that our Totton package was possibly the best we have ever done which was great to hear, the use of sound was very good and some of the shots such as our on the pitch shot as the players came out was a very good idea and changed our boring usual shots at the start of the package. However as good as our WINOL Woodwork was in sportsweek and was well received, it wasn't right for the bulletin and did look very strange, as the rest of the bulletin did look very professional.

I think that Sportsweek went very well, however our guest couldn't make us at the last minute and therefore i had to take the place of the guest in the studio which did not look anywhere near as good as it could have done if we had the guest we wanted. However i do think that we responded well to change the schedule at the last minute.  Once again we updated Twitter during games which works very well.

I do like the change to the website this week, making it look as close to BBC and The Daily Mail, helps us to get a bigger audience but is does make our site look more professional. Overall i think the website looks very good and the bulletins and sportsweek are getting better and better.
