Winter is in full swing at the moment, and the love for snow is in and about the current news. The snow has been described as ‘hell’ as 10 days of snow is due to fall around the country! Headlines in The Sun were placed of greater importance than that of Korean bombings, with ‘SNOW HELL’ of obvious greater importance.
The facts, surveys and statistics were soon to follow inside the paper with the announcement that this is the worst early snowfall for 17 years! Alongside pictures capturing the yearly devastation across the country which the snow has brought us; car crashes, traffic, school closures and people looking miserable! Not one child happily playing with a day of school! There is no news like snow news!
I also couldn’t help my eye being captured by the lovely piece of information provided by page 3 about Bertrand Russell’s philosophy! With Danni stating that: ‘I tend to agree with the philosophy of Bertrand Russell, who said, ‘boredom is a vital problem for the moralist, since at least half the sins of man-kind are caused by the fear of it’. I could help but laugh after reading this, as Danni really doesn’t look like the type of person to be interested in philosophy! I’m slightly sceptical of her comments!
Bertrand Russell on Page Three! what a scoop - and is the spelling mistake yours or the Sun. Please show me this, it sounds fantastic.
